Continuing the Legacy

Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every chapter, we’ve stayed true to what matters most: family, friendship, faith, and our Smith Lake community.

In 1972, Ed and Rachel Frazier founded Smith Lake Realty, one of the original brokerages on Lewis Smith Lake. Over the years, their two daughters, Maria Frazier McLain and Tonya Frazier, joined them as agents, helping carry on the family business.

Ed and Rachel went on to become grandparents to Angel Frazier, Winter Scoles Bolen, and Mary Beth Scoles Morris, and eventually great-grandparents to five precious great-grandchildren.

For years, Ed and Rachel dreamed of one day passing the business down to the next generation. In 2026, their granddaughter Mary Beth stepped forward and said, “I want to carry on the legacy you started so many years ago.”And that’s exactly what she did.

Today, Mary Beth and her husband, Dakota, proudly carry the Smith Lake Realty name into its next chapter. They are bringing new technology, fresh marketing, and renewed energy to the company while holding tightly to the values Ed and Rachel built more than 50 years ago.

Smith Lake Realty continues to grow, but our heart remains the same. We are proud to be a family business, deeply rooted in the community we love and honored to serve the families who call Smith Lake home.
